I am an Assistant Professor of Public Policy and Public Administration at the Trachtenberg School of Public Policy and Public Administration, George Washington University. My research agenda is broadly focused on governance and is at the intersection of public administration and nonprofit research. I teach graduate level courses in organizational behavior and management, and social entrepreneurship. Prior to GWU, I taught undergraduate classes in statistics, evaluation and nonprofit studies.
I began my public service career conducting public health research at the Rollins School of Public Health, Emory University. I then obtained my MPA from the University of Georgia. Subsequently, I worked in several human service nonprofit organizations - ranging in issue focus from prisoner reentry, homelessness, after school programs and children/adults with intellectual disabilities. In 2012 I graduated with a Public Policy PhD from Georgia Institute of Technology/Georgia State University.
